In 2012, recognizing the growth potential of West Orange County in Central Florida, Arbour Valley Communities placed a well-located former orange grove in Ocoee, Florida under contract. Over the next two years, Arbour Valley navigated an extremely arduous entitlement process, challenging wildlife and environmental issues, and utility access hurdles, commencing construction in early 2015. Arbours at Crown Point is a 240-unit Class A market rate apartment community, boasting plentiful amenities such as salt-system beach-entry pool, large high-end fitness center with separate childcare area and spin/yoga, gated access, interior walking/fitness trail with access to the renowned West Orange Trail (part of the Florida Rails to Trails system), large center-island floorplans, parcel lockers, large pet park and pet care areas, and community gardens. Additionally, Arbour Valley installed a large-scale rooftop solar panel system, very uncommon for multifamily apartment projects, enhancing energy efficiency and reducing the project’s carbon footprint.
Arbour Valley Management, which manages Arbours at Crown Point, fully leased the new project well ahead of schedule and exceeded all budgeted performance metrics.
